WickFall
Something down there keeps blowing the candles out.
WICKFALL is a compact souls-like roguelike about descending through a buried graveyard one floor at a time. Roll through what you can't block, block what you can't outrun, and rest at the lanterns — knowing that every time you do, the dead get back up with you.
Four depths, each with its own dead
- The Pumpkin Patch — orchard rows gone to rot, lit orange.
- The Boneyard — headstones in ranks. Violet light. Colder.
- The Rotting Chapel — consecrated ground that stopped working.
- The Hollow Court — the keep this all used to be, lit blue and wrong.
What you do
- Light attacks, heavy attacks, blocks, parries and rolls — all on a stamina budget
- Lock on and circle. Every enemy has a tell, and you only need to learn it once
- Find the seal key, break the gate, kill whatever was behind it, take the stairs
- Rest at a lantern to refill and set your respawn. It also resurrects the floor
- Die and you drop your souls where you fell — run back for them, or lose them for good
- Loot, equip, level up, and spend Wax at the merchant between depths
Every floor is generated fresh, so the layout is never the answer — the fight is.
Runs in your browser. Takes about 20 minutes to lose the first time.
